No, ICON is not a printer. We are a design agency. However, we work with the finest printers in Boston and across the country. Whether it is a 24-page annual report requiring traditional offset printing, or a single-page product tearsheet appropriate for low-cost digital output, we will recommend the right printer with the right equipment to fit your job.
If you prefer, we will work with your existing printer. We will handle all quote requests and final proofs. You will approve all print quotes separately and be billed directly by the printer. Top

5. Can ICON design a website that I can make changes to myself later on?
Yes and maybe. The answer depends entirely upon your ability to work with web pages and graphic design software. You must have a working knowledge of web file management and FTP (file transfer protocol), and the ability to work with layout software such Front Page, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop. Knowledge of web languages such as HTML, CSS, and Flash would be a plus. If you expect to make changes to your site on a daily or weekly basis, your staff will require specialized software and training. As an option, ICON can provide maintenance under a variety of plans.
A NOTE regarding CMS Sites: There are host services that offer CMS (content management system) sites. Such sites consist of web pages that are essentially wrapped in a shell that the user logs in to and makes changes to assigned text and graphic blocks. Upon logout, changes are updated to the pages automatically. Such sites do provide a simple interface for web administrators to make page changes. However, there are design limitations and there is a significant learning curve for novice users. Top
